When will my package be delivered?

Delivery times vary, depending on the country of destination. Our average delivery time within the Netherlands is 1 - 2 business days.

In the table below you'll find the estimated delivery time for a number of common destinations.

DELIVERY

 

Delivery of Packages
Hollandbikeshop.com ships its packages using PostNL and DHL. Bicycles with a tire size of over 16 inches are usually shipped by transport company Bode Scholten/TransMission. When your shipment has been picked up by the transport company, you will receive an e-mail with your Track & Trace number. The Track & Trace number will be activated as soon as the transport company has processed your shipment, and you'll be able to trace your package via the site. If a package cannot be delivered to you, PostNL will try to deliver it to your neighbors - DHL and TransMission will not. If the package cannot be delivered to your neighbors, a new delivery attempt will be made. The day and time of day for the second delivery attempt depend on the day of the first attempt:

When you and your neighbors are not at home during the second delivery attempt, you will find a notification in your mailbox with the location of the pickup point where you can collect your package and the time period available to do so.

 

International Delivery
With deliveries abroad, your package will be turned over to the transport company’s partner in the specific country of destination. This company may have different delivery times and conditions.

 

Don't Deliver to Neighbors
If you prefer your package not to be delivered to the neighbors, please ask for 'Only Deliver to this Address' to be mentioned on your package label. In that case, your package will only be delivered to you. 

 

The shipping address for your package must be a physical address, either of a residential home or company, where the package can be accepted by you or someone authorized by you. A pickup point, Kiala point or similar pickup point are unfortunately not accepted as a valid shipping address.

RETURNS & WARRANTY

 

WITHDRAWAL
When you've placed an order with our webshop, you may exercise your right of withdrawal within 14 days after receiving your order. During the reflection period you will handle the product and its packaging with care, and only  unpack or use the product to the extent necessary for establishing the nature, the characteristics and the effect of the product.  The guiding principle is that you may only handle and inspect the product in the manner in which one is allowed to handle a product in a store.

 

If you wish to return one or several products, please follow these guidelines:

1) Send us an e-mail informing us of the product(s) you wish to return. Please include the product model number and your order number.

2) Return the product(s) with all delivered accessories, if reasonably possible in its original state and packaging, unused, and include a copy of your invoice, your order number and the IBAN number. After your return shipment has been received and processed by our Returns Department, the amount due will be refunded within 14 days to the account that was used to pay for the order.

 

The direct costs for the return shipment are to be paid by the customer. We do however refund the shipping costs you paid when placing your original order. If you're returning part of a larger order, part of the shipping costs will be refunded.
For example, if you've ordered three items and you're returning one item, a third of the shipping costs will be refunded. If you're returning two of the three items, two thirds of the shipping costs will be refunded. If you are returning all items from an order, you will receive a full refund of the shipping costs.

WRONG ORDER
There's always a chance of ordering the wrong product by mistake, for example in the wrong size or color. You can return these products as follows:

1) Send us an e-mail informing us of the products you wish to exchange. Please include the product model number and your order number.

2) We will then send you an e-mail with further instructions. This e-mail will include a discount code for free shipping with your new order.

3) Send your return product to us with all delivered accessories and if reasonably possible in its original state and packaging, unused, within 14 days after receipt.

Returned products must be in immaculate condition. Products that have already been assembled will not be accepted.

All cancellations must be submitted in writing. This can be done via e-mail or regular mail. Always state your full name and your order number in your written cancellation.

 

 

WARRANTY
All product sold by Hollandbikeshop.com come with the standard manufacturers or suppliers warranty. If you feel that your product is defective and you are eligible for a warranty claim, please send us a picture of the product first, along with your order number and a description of the defect. One of our employees will then contact you.

 

In case of a valid claim for a product that is no older than 3 months, shipping costs will be paid by Hollandbikeshop.com. This does not apply to possible transport costs for returning products to Hollandbikeshop.com in person or when you have chosen a more expensive delivery method than the cheapest standard delivery.

Hollandbikeshop.com will determine in collaboration with the manufacturer whether your claim is eligible for warranty and whether your product(s) will be replaced or repaired. Any (additional) costs that could emerge for the defective product are not eligible for a refund.
